More than half of all used textiles in the European Union end up in the garbage bin as ‘mixed household waste’. This means that it goes either straight to the dump where it causes all sort of problems or to the nearest incineration plant to be burned and never seen or utilized again. Bye bye valuable resources (plenty more where that came from. Oh no wait, there isn’t… Whoops!).
